Construction Inspections

SEE performs site inspections for construction projects requiring stormwater management and/or sediment and erosion control practices. We are experienced in inspecting projects that comply with one or more of the following:

  • Maine Construction General Permit (MCGP)
  • EPA Construction General Permit (CGP)
  • Maine Stormwater Law (Chapter 500)
  • Maine Natural Resources Protection Act (NRPA)
  • Maine Site Location of Development (Site Law)
  • New Hampshire Alteration of Terrain Permit (AOT)
  • Municipal Stormwater and Erosion Control Ordinances

Our professionals help clients ensure that projects are completed per design plans and that all necessary erosion and sediment control and pollution prevention measures are in place during construction. Controlling erosion and sedimentation is especially important during large rain storms, which climate analyses show are becoming more frequent and intense in the New England region. SEE’s qualified inspectors can identify stormwater management and erosion control deficiencies on and around the project site and suggest appropriate options and proactive corrective steps for the project to comply with relevant laws and permits.

SEE specializes in construction inspections for solar field installations. Solar projects present unique challenges when it comes to stormwater management and erosion control. Their expansive layouts and specific infrastructure result in continuous and long-term disturbance of typically un-vegetated ground during construction. Our inspectors have experience evaluating solar installations throughout the state.
